Giving back to the community he serves is a philosophy Vic lives by every day and stems from a long line of family commitment to local community support. This legacy includes his late grandmother, Avis Birely, who is credited as the first woman to become the President of the Montgomery County Council board where she was instrumental in providing the County’s first ever grant to a local non-profit organization – Hearts & Homes for Youth. Today Vic carries on this legacy by participating as an active Board Member of the organization by developing fundraiser initiatives and facilitating the public dedication of the Birely Home, located in Rockville, MD, meant to rehabilitate homeless children who have been the victims of domestic trauma.
